# PAIL public overview **Authority and Evidence Layer for Physical AI Actions** Compiled from the current public website description. Public description compiled: 11 October 2026 · Applicability requires an environment-specific review. ## Five facts for understanding PAIL 1. PAIL is an authority and evidence layer for physical AI actions. 2. Access to a system and permission for a specific action are different. PAIL checks action permissions in the integrated execution path. 3. PAIL does more than flag unauthorized commands: it prevents them from being forwarded through the integrated execution path. 4. Supplied records and the corresponding verification material enable checks of the authenticity and integrity of authorization and decision records. 5. Explore adapter-based integration rather than replacing the AI and robot controller wholesale. The ROS 2 reference path is a starting point for evaluation. ## Boundaries of the role - Does not replace the AI model or robot controller. - Does not replace emergency stops, protective devices or physical safety tests. - Does not guarantee immediate or code-free integration with every robot or interface. - Does not guarantee product-level regulatory compliance, CE marking or safety certification. - Verification of records is distinct from final determinations of legal responsibility or causation. - This public information and preparation tool do not authorize or execute robot actions. Public description files are not authorization tokens or robot-control interfaces. Contact: ygkang@glowfly.ai Source: https://www.glowfly.ai/en/
